The Dream of God
The Dream of God: A Call to Return, Verna Dozier’s wonderful introduction to the Bible, lay ministry, and the Church’s role in social justice will be this year’s Lenten book. Dozier is an African American lay Episcopal theologian and biblical scholar whose solid and accessible work deserves a wider audience as we prepare today for tomorrow’s Church.
We’ll discuss one chapter a week on Tuesday evenings in Lent from 7 to 8 p.m. Check the weekly bulletin for information about obtaining a copy of the book.
