Prayer around the Cross

Weekday Corporate Prayer and Worship

July 29, 2016 by Webmaster

The Furness Chapel is the site of midweek corporate prayer and worship year round.

Every Tuesday a group meets there at 5:45 p.m. for a half hour of contemplative prayer.  A service of Evening Prayer and the Holy Eucharist follows at 6:30 p.m.

On the first Friday of every month, a Taizé-inspired meditative worship service called Prayer around the Cross takes place from 7 to 8 p.m.  The next monthly service takes place on Friday, August 5.

All are welcome.

Easter Triduum

March 24, 2016 by Webmaster

Our observance of the Easter Triduum, the three-day period recalling the passion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, began this evening with the Maundy Thursday liturgy.  It continues through tomorrow’s Good Friday liturgy at 12:30 p.m., and a special service of Prayer around the Cross at 7:00 p.m.  On the evening of Holy Saturday, at 8:00 p.m., we observe the Great Vigil of Easter.  Finally on Easter Day, we will have two celebrations of the Holy Eucharist at 9 and 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
