The January meeting of Saint Luke’s Seniors will occur on Wednesday, January 20, from noon until 2 p.m. Bring a bag lunch and join in the fellowship and conversation. The topic of this meeting is “Changes I have seen in myself in my senior years.”
The feast of The Epiphany, our parish’s second “name day” which falls on January 6, will be celebrated on Sunday, January 10, at 9 and 11 a.m. The word “epiphany” is Greek for “manifestation” and is traditionally associated with the appearance of a star in the East which the magi follow to the cradle of the infant Jesus. The theological meaning is that the saving life of Christ is intended as Good News for all the peoples of the earth. It is also a reminder of the role each of us is called to play in getting that Word out.
