The five nominees for election as the next bishop of Pennsylvania will be visiting the diocese this week to learn more about us. The Diocese of Pennsylvania comprises Philadelphia and the four surrounding counties. There are 135 congregations and a dozen or more affiliated schools and social service programs. On any given Sunday 13,000 people attend church services.
Four open meetings are being held in order to meet the nominees, hear something of their vision for the diocese, and ask them questions. These meetings will be held at parishes located outside Center City — for more information about dates, times, locations and directions via automobile or public transit, click here.
The election is on Saturday, March 12 at the cathedral. Each parish gets one vote. Our delegation includes Mike Krasulski, Chuck Pukanecz, and Chris Van Wyk.
