On Monday, March 6, volunteers will meet at Saint Luke’s to cook food intended for distribution at Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Olney. We begin at 6 p.m. and continue until the work is done. The meals will be served at Saint Gabriel’s on Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
Saint Luke’s Seniors will meet on Thursday, March 17, at the church at noon. The agenda this month is pizza and conversation. Talk with someone you don’t already know. Make a new friend! We hope you will be able to join us. Contact Betsy Williams or John Simpson for information; Neale Secor will be out of town.

Our website is very much a work-in-progress, so don’t be surprised if its appearance changes during the coming weeks. Some old features are being gradually restored, new ones are being added, and the organizational scheme is subject to revision.
The best way to find what you are looking for is to use the menu buttons found just under the church logo at the top of each page. These are hierarchically arranged; just hover your cursor over a button to display a list of subsidiary buttons, if any.
Several entirely new search and navigation aids may be found on the pages containing the website’s blog posts, found via the “News” menu button. In the sidebar on the right side of the page, you’ll see Facebook and Twitter icons. Clicking on these will take you directly to our Facebook page and Twitter profile page.
Using the keyword search box allows you to retrieve material posted anywhere on the website. Below it, you can click on links that will retrieve the five most recent blog postings, all postings made in a particular month, and all postings assigned to one of several broad categories.
And if you’d like to be notified by email whenever a new blog posting is made, just enter your email address in the subscription box at the bottom of the sidebar.
If you’re an active user of social media, it’s now easy to share our blog postings with your friends. Click on the title of any blog posting to display the posting in full. You’ll see a button at the bottom of the post labeled “Share.” You can use this button to share the contents of the post on at least nine different social networks.
The parish delegates who will be voting in the election of our next bishop on Saturday, March 12, would like to hear from any and all of you about your preferences among the five nominees. Our delegation includes Mike Krasulski, Chuck Pukanecz, and Chris Van Wyk. Their contact information is listed in the parish directory, and you may speak with them anytime.
They will facilitate a parish gathering in the Blue Room lounge on Sunday, March 6, after the 11 a.m. Eucharist.
